*Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is on the roll. The brand earlier today launched the Vivo V19 for the global market. While we are not sure when that device will hit the Indian market, the brand has again announced the launch of yet another affordable device, dubbed the Vivo Y50.
Vivo earlier today announced the Y50 silently via a Facebook post by Vivo Cambodia. The Vivo Y50 as per the announcement is immediately available for pre-order in the country, while it will begin the process of delivery later this month -precisely starting from April 11th. It comes only in Blue and Black color options and is priced at $250. Availability, and pricing outside if the Cambodian is yet to be announced. Perhaps, those details will be in the open in the coming days.
Much like a number of Android-powered devices out there, the Vivo Y50 comes fitted with a Quad camera setup on the rear panel, while it flaunts a 6.53” display with 1080p resolution, and an “Ultra O” screen with a punch hole for a single front shooter.
Perhaps, the most compelling feature of the said Vivo Y50 is its monster battery cell. The device comes fitted with a powerful 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support over USB-C. Under the hood, the device has a Snapdragon 665 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB expandable storage.
Then comes the rear cameras. On the back panel, the Y50 features a 13MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide-angle cam (120°), a dedicated 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. We do not have details about the device’s front camera, however, the Vivo Y50 boots Android 10 out of the box.
