Based on a new teaser, Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is all set to release a member of the Vivo Nex series. Dubbed the Vivo Nex 3s 5G, the upcoming device will be officially unveiled on March 10 in China at an event that will start at 2:30 PM local time.
The teaser doesn’t reveal anything about the Vivo Nex 3s 5G, except that it reveals a device with a notchless display and it will be available in Orange color.
Most recently, a Vivo made phone believed to be the NEX 3s 5G surfaced on the Geekbench site. Bearing the V1950A model number, the alleged Vivo Nex 3s 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC, coupled with 8GB RAM, and Android 10. Separately, the said device also appeared on China’s TENAA with the full image renders, and specs.
Based on the listing on TENAA, the Vivo Nex 3s 5G looks set to come with specifications and features similar to those of the standard Vivo Nex 3 5G, except for variations in the chipset and battery. It will swap Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 Plus processor for the latest SD 865, with a drop in battery capacity from 4,500mAh battery to a 4,250mAh unit. The Vivo Nex 3s 5G will reportedly also drop the supported Super FlashCharge 44W fast charging on the Nex 3 for a faster and most recent 55W fast charging technology seen on the recently announced IQOO 3 smartphone.
As far as specs go, the Vivo Nex 3s 5G is expected to come fitted with a 6.89-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2256 pixels. The highlight is perhaps, the curved display that “bends at an angle of up to 120° on both sides”. The Nex 3s 5G should get the same pop-up camera seen on the Nex 3, while it will get a triple rear camera setup comprising of a 64MP primary sensor, a 13MP telephoto sensor, and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor.
