On your Apple Watch, you can set alarms through the Apple in-built alarms app, through Siri, and from your iPhone device.
Before we proceed, it may surprise you to know that the alarms you set on your Apple Watch are different from the clock app on your iPhone. What this means is that any alarm you set on your clock app using your iPhone won’t show up on the alarms app and vice-versa. The difference between both methods of setting up alarms on your Apple watch is that alarms set on your clock app will work on your Apple watch only when you are wearing it, but if your Apple watch happens to be far from it won’t work whereas the using the built-in alarms app on your Apple watch works regardless, whether the device is on you or not.
How to Set Alarms on Apple Watch (Using the Built-In Alarms App)
To be able to set alarms on the Apple watch using the built-in alarms app, follow the sets of instructions below.
- Launch the Alarms App from the Home Screen of your Apple watch device.
- Tap on Add Alarm.
- Tap on AM or PM.
- Use your fingers to turn the Digital Crown to enable you to adjust the Hours.
- Tap on the Minutes.
- Use your fingers to turn the Digital Crown to enable you to adjust the Minutes.
- Tap on Set.

Launch the Alarms App from the Home Screen of your Apple watch device.
From your list of pre-existing alarms, tap on the alarm you would like to edit or reset.
Tap the option you would like to change.
Once you do this you should be able to edit your alarm, performing actions such as changing the time of your alarms, create labels, and also be able to make the alarm repeat.
How to Delete Alarms on Apple Watch (Using the Built-In Alarms App)
With the built-in alarms app, you can also be able to delete alarms on your Apple watch if desire it. Hence, to be able to delete alarms on Apple Watch, follow the sets of instructions outlined below.
Launch the Alarms App from the Home Screen of your Apple watch device.
From your list of pre-existing alarms, tap on the alarm you would like to delete.
Tap on delete.

How to Set Alarms on Apple Watch (Using Siri)
To learn how to set alarms on an Apple watch using Siri, follow the set of instructions outlined below.
Strap your Apple Watch to your wrist.
Raise your wrist.
Say, “Hey, Siri, set an alarm for” after which you can mention the time. For example, Hey, Siri, set an alarm for 4 pm. Alternatively, you can say “Hey, Siri, set an alarm called” after which you can now provide a name and time.
Ensure that Siri shows you a green On
If you have done it correctly, Siri would display a phrase like “OK” or “I have done that” and an on/off toggle.
You will not be able to use Siri to stop or snooze an alarm. Hence, to do this, you’d have to use the stop or snooze button.
How to Change an Alarm on Apple Watch (Using Siri)
Interestingly, you can not only set an alarm on your Apple watch but you can also edit/change it if you made an error while setting up the alarm. To learn how to change an alarm on your Apple Watch using Siri, follow the set of instructions outlined below.
Strap your Apple Watch to your wrist.
Raise your wrist.
Say, “Hey, Siri, change my 2 o’clock alarm to 7 o’clock”. In this case, we used 2 o’clock and 7 o’clock. So when you changing yours, you can use your preferred time.
Wait for Siri to respond.
Check the screen to confirm the time.
If you performed it correctly, Siri would change the time on the alarm to the desired time and if it does not work out it could be because you are not speaking loud enough or you probably speaking with a mouthful.
How to Set Alarms on Apple Watch (Using Your iPhone Device)
You can set alarms on your iPhone and also snooze and dismiss alarms on your iPhone from your Apple watch. Although you won’t be able to see the alarms set with your iPhone on your Apple Watch.
Set the alarm on your iPhone.
Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
Tap My Watch.
Tap Clock.
Tap on the toggle button beside Push Alerts from iPhone to turn it on.
Once you do this each time an alarm set on your iPhone goes off your Apple watch would alert you and you should be able to either snooze or dismiss the alarm right from the watch. Do note that, if an alarm set on your Apple Watch should go off you won’t be alerted on your iPhone.
How to Set Apple Watch as a Nightstand Clock
In order to use your Apple watch as a nightstand clock, follow the set of instructions outlined below.
Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
Navigate to My Watch
Tap on General.
Tap the toggle button beside Nightstand Mode to turn the feature on.
Connect your Apple Watch to its charging cable. Once your Apple Watch is charging and Nightstand Mode is activated, the display will show the current charge, time, date, and any set alarms.
If an alarm has been set from the Alarms app on your Apple Watch, it will sound. To turn off the alarm, press the side button, and to snooze you’d have to press the Digital Crown. Do note that pressing the Digital Crown would only snooze the alarm for only 9 minutes.
