At the October launch of the Redmi 8 in China, Xiaomi’s GM Lu Weibing had confirmed that a new and fresh flagship killer dubbed Redmi K30 was already in development, although it kept the basic features under the wrap. While it was initially thought to arrive early in 2020, the brand a few days ago made it clear we would be seeing the device later in December 2019.

Now, while we have yet to get official details regarding its launch, details about the device are beginning to pout in. First off, the device with the M2001G7AE model alleged to be the Redmi K30 has now popped up on China’s 3C certification database with a 30W fast charger in the box. The listing also confirms it is a “5G Digital Mobile Phone”, confirming the support for next-gen cellular networks.

There is also the About Phone section within MIUI 11, which mentions the device name to be Redmi K30, while the other section reveals details about the device’s display.
