Realme 6i With Quad Cameras, 5,000mAh Battery Set to Debut on March 17

Chinese smartphone maker Realme is officially set to introduce a third member of the Realme 6 family barely a week after it first announced the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro. Dubbed the Realme 6i, the upcoming Realme smartphone will be officially announced come March 17th. The announcement is set for at 3 pm MMT (2 pm IST) on Tuesday, March 17 in Myanmar.

The confirmation comes from Realme’s Myanmar branch as it further revealed that the upcoming Realme 6i will be the first device to come powered by the Helio G80 SoC and charge at up to 18W through a USB-C port. A separate teaser by the firm also suggests the device will get a Quad-camera setup – highlighted by a 48MP sensor, while we are not exactly sure what the three other sensors are.

While the firms has yet to officially divulger further details about the upcoming device, an FCC listing that appeared earlier this week suggests the device will come fitted with a 5,000mAh battery – an improvement over the Realme 6 and 6 Pro battery, a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, while a  6.5″ screen with a water-drop notch occupies the front.

Other than securing FCC’s approval, the Realme 6i also already secured Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) with the same RMX2040 model number, so a more global release should be expected in the coming weeks.
