Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has officially announced the launch date of its upcoming smartphone – the Oppo F15. The F15 which will succeed the Oppo F11 series as per the latest announcement will be formally announced on January 16th, 2020 in Indian.
First teased earlier this week, Oppo aside from confirming the launch date also revealed a few specs of the upcoming Oppo F15. While the brand hasn’t yet revealed the entire specs sheet, it did reveal that the Oppo F15 will come with 8GB RAM, 48MP quad-camera, under-display fingerprint scanner, and VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 support.
And while we are yet to see full renders of the device, a teaser image of the Oppo F15 shared on Twitter reveals the Oppo F15 might actually launch as a rebranded Oppo A91.
The A91 which was silently introduced alongside the Oppo A8 in China back in December 2020 packs a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel main camera and an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. It flaunts a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 90.7 percent screen-to-body ratio, a waterdrop notch, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection, while it comes with MediaTek’s Helio P70 SoC under the hood.
It boasts of a 4,000mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 flash, while it boots Android 9 Pie out of the box.
