This article will walk you through all the switch error codes you may encounter while using your Nintendo. Error 2153-0321

Fix:

  • ReEnter the code and ensure that the numbers are correct.

Error 2801-7199

Facebook upload not working,

Fix:

  • Disconnect and link back to your Facebook account and ensure that you have permission on Facebook.

Error 2124-4009

General functionality error code

Fix:

  • It may result from maintenance. It is best to try again later.

Error 2124-4517 or 2181-4017

Unrecognized activity preventing access to online service

Fix:

  • Please wait and try again later.

Error 2124-3080

Switch unable to reach online pair

Fix:

Online multiplayer is not available in your region

Error 2124-4007

Breach in terms of service may have resulted in a permanent ban on the use of online services. So you basically cannot connect to or access online services.

Error 2813-0055

The Switch cannot redeem a download code because the software isn’t available to the public at the moment.

Error 2813-1470

Credit card rejected in eShop

Fix:

  • If you are attempting to use the saved credit card information, delete the saved credit card information and then try again after re-entering the information.
  • If this occurs when not using saved credit card information, check the card information to ensure you are entering it correctly, including the name, billing address, and security code.
Situation not resolved

  • If the issue only persists with saved credit card information, continue to make purchases without saving the credit card info, and then try using saved credit card information again at a later time.
  • If the issue persists when not using saved credit card information, this may indicate an issue related to the credit card. Please check with the bank or company that issued your credit card for more information.
  • Try using a different card. You may also want to consider using an alternate payment method, like PayPal or a prepaid Nintendo eShop card.

Error 2813-0040

Download code already redeemed,

fix:

Confirm your download code and ensure it is correct.

Error 2005-0005 / 2005-0004

Corrupted content in your Nintendo firmware or software.

Fix:

Turn it off and on and update the system. Insert a new SD if the current microSD continues to report errors.

Error 2124-0291

Unable to complete the transfer of the user account to another switch,

Fix:

Ensure it disconnects the user account from the third-party console. And try again.

Error 2164-0020 or 2122-0082

Error coming from software in the Switch

Fix:

Go to manage software. Remove the software causing this problem (probably the game that caused the crash). Reload switch. Reinstall the software.

Error 2162-0101

Update required to start a game

Fix:

Check for software updates.

Error 2306-0819

The Switch cannot connect to online games,

Fix:

Update Switch software and try again.

Error 2021-0003 or 2000-0000 or  2101-0002 or 2107-0427

Software is not outdated

Fix:

  • Check for software updates or corrupted data.

Error 2124-3000 or 2137-1508

The Switch cannot connect to an online service because it is outdated

Error 2813-0071

The software has a general problem with the download in eShop,

The Parental Controls app cannot connect to the Internet.

Error 2110-2091

Nintendo detects The LAN adapter, but the switch could not verify a connection with the router or modem.

Error 2110-1100

Error 2110-2004 / 2110-2220 or 2110-2201 or 2110-2214

Cannot connect to a specific wireless network. Because of incorrect use of the password,

Fix:

  • Make sure nothing is blocking the switch.

Error 2110-3127

Can’t connect to a particular wired or wireless network,

Fix:

  • Check the DNS settings to ensure they are correct.

Error 2122-2403 or 2211-0524

Error 2811-5001 or 2811-1028

 Error 2155-8006

The Switch cannot link a new Nintendo Account to the console. This is usually because of a DNS error or general connection timeout,

  • If the connection fails again, try disabling the password requirements for the network.

Error 2618-0513

The Switch cannot complete a pairing process,

  • Try again.
  • Test your internet connection.
  • Power cycle your gateway.

Error 2160-0103 or 2306-0520 or 2618-0006 or 2618-0201 or 2618-0516

Joining a game online, starting/completing the game creation process, or completing a game failed. It is likely a connection problem,

  • Try a manual DNS alternative.
  • Try turning your home network off and on.

Error 2155-8006

The Switch cannot link a new Nintendo Account to the console. This is usually because of a DNS error or general connection timeout,

  • Search for a new SD card or repair the current SD card.

Error 2110-1000 – 2110-1999

This error code means that the Switch cannot connect to the wired or wireless network.

Fix:

  • Reboot your gateway.
  • Put the switch in a DMZ in the gateway configuration. Within that configuration, forward the ports to the switch and Restart the console.

Error 2618-0501, 2618-0502 or  2306-0501, 2306-0502

This error occurs when the Switch cannot join an online game,

  • Check your network password and try again.
  • Try to turn your home network off and on then retry.

Error 2124-0200 – 2124-0269

The user is in an attempt to use an online game feature when logged out.
