LG Velvet Likely to Come With Dual Screen Support

LG mobile is preparing to unveil a new upper mid-range smartphone that will emphasize elegant design as part of its new smartphone roadmap. Dubbed LG Velvet, the Korean company first dropped hints about the device weeks ago and has been drip-feeding us with details about the upcoming device.

From concept teaser to an official blog post detailing what informed it of the naming convention, LG over the weekend dropped a trailer video offering us a closer look at the device. Other than the triple rear camera arrays, we got a clearer look at the device, while it also revealed the LG Velvet will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 5G 765 processor, and not the flagship Snapdragon 865.

Now, while we expect more revealing teasers from the Korean firm in the coming weeks, indications have emerged that the LG Velvet might support a secondary display. That’s according to a report on mysmartprice.com. The tech site first spotted a new LG case on the Korean NRRA certification authority website, which is believed to be the secondary display of the LG Velvet smartphone. The certification authority doesn’t offer many details into the new LG case, however, its model number isn’t far off from the LG-G900N smartphone which is rumored to be the upcoming LG Velvet.

From what the firm has revealed so far, the LG Velvet will come fitted with a triple rear camera setup devoid of any hump, and arranged in descending order by size, with the main lens sitting just above the surface, the other two lenses lying under the glass and the flash below them. The front camera sits inside a water-drop notch, with slim bezels all around the display.

LG has yet to officially announce a proper launch date for the LG Velvet, but we expect that to happens soon, perhaps, on May 15th, given the constant teasers.
