Besides the keenly anticipated Honor 30s smartphone, Huawei sub-brand Honor earlier today announced it will be unveiling a budget smartphone in the coming days. Dubbed the Honor Play 4T, the upcoming device is coming right on the heel of the arrival of the Honor 9A launched a few days ago.
Set to be launched in China alongside the Honor Play 4T Pro, images, as well, as specs of the upcoming device have now surfaced online. The images and spec is courtesy of multiple Chinese retailers now offering you the chance to book reservations ahead of its eventual launch.
Set to arrive in Black, Green, and Blue-Purple gradient color options, the Honor Play 4T Pro as revealed by a listing on Suning.com will come with a waterdrop notch display, a triple rear camera setup, an in-display fingerprint scanner while a sperate listing reveals it has the AQM-AL10 model number. The number lines up with a certain Honor phone previously seen on TENNA complete with its specs, and images.
The Honor Play 4T Pro as per the previous listing will come flaunting a 6.3″ FHD+ OLED display with an unknown SoC under its hood. The SoC suspected to be the Kirin 810 has a 2.27GHz octa-core processor, and will come in two memory options – 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. The device sadly will boot the dated Android 9 pie out of the box, while it will be fueled by a 4000mAh battery cell.
Speaking of the cameras, the listing says the Honor Play 4T Pro will get a triple rear camera – a 48MP main camera aided by an 8MP and 2MP units, with a 16MP on the front for selfies and video calls.
Much like the Honor Play 4T Pro, the Honor Play 4T as per the retail listing will launch with the AKA-AL10 model number. A Previous TENAA listing already detailed the specs and features of the upcoming device. Per the listing, the Honor Play 4T will come flaunting a 6.39″ HD+ IPS screen as opposed to the OLED display on the 4T Pro, while it will be powered by an unnamed SoC with a 2GHz octa-core processor, coupled with up to 6GB RAM, and up to 128GB storage.
The camera count on the rear panel will drop fro a total of three to two – a 48MP main unit coupled with a 2MP unit, as well as an 8MP shooter on the front. The device will drop the in-display scanner for a rear fingerprint scanner, while it will be powered by the same 4000mAh cell.
