Do you receive lots of calls or messages frequently on your Apple Watch? Have you registered for a gym or you have started working out recently and you want to be serious about it? Do you wish there was a way to stop all notifications on your Apple watch until you are done with your workout so you won’t be distracted? If you are bothered about such things, today is your lucky day because I’ll be teaching you how to enable workout Do Not Disturb on the Apple watch.
The Do Not Disturb Mode is not a new feature, and it’s currently available on iPhone and Android devices. The Apple watch workout Do Not Disturb turns on automatically when you start working out to keep you focused on your exercise and it turns off when you are done with the workout exercise. The feature is pretty similar to iPhone’s Do Not Disturb While Driving which gets activated automatically when your iPhone detects motion activity that is consistent with driving or when the iPhone is connected to a Bluetooth car stereo system.
What is the Do Not Disturb Mode?
The Do Not Disturb Mode is not a new feature and it’s available on most devices. The feature stops all notifications and alerts from appearing on your screen and stops notification sounds. Does that mean I won’t be able to listen to music when the Do Not Disturb mode is turned on, on my Apple watch? The answer No, you can listen to your favorite songs while you work out but you won’t be interrupted by other notifications while you are working out. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to activate the Do Not Disturb mode on WatchOS 4 and higher versions.
Before I teach you how to activate the Do Not Disturb feature on your Apple Watch, there are two fundamental things you should know about the Apple watch Do Not Disturb mode.
You can set up some contacts that’ll be able to bypass the Do Not Disturb mode. This is really important so you don’t get to miss that very important message from your boss and get sacked.
The Do Not Disturb mode on your Apple Watch (WatchOS 4) can be activated on the watch or it can be activated from your iPhone.
