You can convert images into a PDF on your iPhone using the Photos app, Photos app and copy to books, and the files app. We will be looking at these three methods in detail. How to Convert Images Into a PDF File on iPhone (Photos App Method)

The Photos app, is an app on your iPhone device that is used to view images stored on the device. You can convert those images within the app into PDF files using the Photos app pinch-out gesture. To learn how to convert images into PDF files on iPhone using the Photos app pinch-out gesture, follow the set of instructions outlined below:

  1. Open the Photos app on your iPhone.
  2. Locate the Album that contains the photos you want to convert.
  3. Long press on the photo thumbnail to reveal a hidden menu. On that menu, click on the Share For multiple photos, use the selection mode found at the top right corner of your screen and select all the photos you’d love to convert, and click on the Share button.
  4. On the Share window, tap on Print. On the Printer options you can either perform a pinch in or pinch out gesture and the selected file(s) will be converted to a PDF format.

Now your PDF file containing your picture(s) can be shared with whoever you want. It is important to note that when using the selection mode to include several pictures in one PDF file that the pictures will be automatically arranged and they are arranged in a manner that they appear on your device, which is from oldest to the newest.

 

How to Convert Images Into a PDF File on iPhone (Photos App and Copy to Books Method)

You can also convert images in your photos app into PDF files by sharing the photos you’d like to convert with the Books app on your device. This method will automatically save the PDF files on iCloud and you can easily access them with any iOS as long as you have iCloud syncing turned on for the Books app. To learn how to convert images into a PDF file on iPhone using the Photos app and copy to Books method, follow the set of instructions outlined below:

  1. Open the Photos app on your iPhone.
  2. Locate the Album that contains the photos you want to convert.
  3. Long press on the photo thumbnail to reveal a hidden menu. On that menu, click on the Share For multiple photos, use the selection mode found at the top right corner of your screen and select all the photos you’d love to convert, and click on the Share button.
  4. On the Share window, tap on Books. Once you do that, the image(s) will be automatically converted to a file and it will be stored within the library section of the books app.
  5. At this point, you can now perform several actions like renaming the file, perform annotations and markups, view the PDF and you can also share to it with whoever you want it.

If you followed the steps outlined above but can’t find the Books option on your device, swipe to the right of the Share window and tap More to add it.

How to Convert Images Into a PDF File on iPhone (Files App Method)

Unlike the Photos app, converting your images to PDF files using the Files app is quite convenient since everything can be done within the app you wouldn’t need the Share window for the conversion. Additionally, all converted will be automatically stored in the same location as the original which adds to its convenience.

The only difficulty you’ll face with this method is that you won’t be able to access your photos library and as such, you can only make do with downloaded pictures on your device, screenshots, and also scanned documents that were saved in your Files app. To learn how to convert images into a PDF file on iPhone using the Files app method, follow the set of instructions outlined below:

For a single image

  1. Open the Files
  2. Locate the image you’d like to convert and long-press the image to reveal a hidden menu.
  3. On that menu, tap on Create PDF, and your image will be converted to a PDF format.

For multiple images

The files app is a more preferable option when it comes to multiple images because unlike the photos app that automatically arranges the images in the order of oldest to newest with the files you can choose to arrange them in alphabetical order or numerical order. You can also rename the files in the order you’d like them to appear before converting them. To learn how to do this, follow the set of instructions outlined below:

  1. Rename the images in the order you’d like them to appear in the converted file. To rename, long press on the image and then tap on the Rename Input the name and tap on Done.
  2. Once you have renamed all the files you want to convert, enter the selection mode and select all the renamed photos.
  3. Tap on the three horizontal dots found at the bottom right corner of your screen to reveal a secret menu.
  4. On that menu, tap on Create PDF.

Viola! There you have it. If you have gotten to this point, then you shouldn’t have problems converting any image of your choice into its PDF equivalent.
