Did you see our guide on how to activate the Spotify Premium trial? If you did, you’ll recall you needed to add a payment method that’ll get billed when your trial ends. You may not even be on the free trial but you’re tired of the service and need a way out of paying that bill periodically. This is a simple guide on how to cancel Spotify Premium. Spotify is a digital music on demand, podcast, and video streaming platform.

Spotify avails its users access to millions of songs and other content from various artists around the world. The good news is you can listen to all these tracks for free – or maybe not entirely free as you would be served adverts. These adverts are meant to cover the payment remitted to artists and producers. Although Spotify’s basic functionalities which include streaming music are free with ads enabled, you can also choose to upgrade to the Spotify Premium.

On the Spotify premium, you can listen to as many music tracks as you wish to and you’ll never have to worry about getting interrupted by a single advert. Additionally, you can listen to any track, album, artist, or playlist you like at any time and in any order with unlimited skips. The Spotify Premium subscription starts at $9.99 per month for which you get an entirely ad-free experience. However, if you’re a university student in the US, you can apply for Spotify Premium Student, which goes for $4.99 per month.
