Realme Band with nine sports modes, colour display announced in India for for Rs 1,499

The Realme band is officially announced as the company’s first fitness band as expected. The company unveiled the band earlier today in India to take on the likes of Xiaomi’s Mi Band 4 and Honor Band 5.

The fitness tracker which became official today alongside the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro is one of the numerous devices that will form a complete future ecosystem. The Realme fitness band including the future ecosystem of devices such as Realme smartwatch, smart speakers among others, will be linked together via an app called Realme Link. The Realme Link is essentially a one-stop solution for all the Realme accessories, which also includes the recently launched Realme Buds Air. It is available for download via Google’s Play store.

Additionally, the link app displays text from Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok as well as SMS notifications along with the app’s icon.

For Realme Band availability and release date, Realme stated at the [rrsentation that the fitness band’s Initial sales will happen later today March 5th during the Hate2Wait sale at 2 pm today on realme.com, while the first regular sale of the band will begin on March 9 via realme.com, Amazon India website, and offline stores in India.

Speaking of specific details, the Realme Band features a 0.96” color display with 80 x 160px resolution with a virtual button at the bottom for switching between functions.  It also gets a sensor that automatically wakes the screen up when it detects wrist movements. The band gets an interchangeable strap that comes only in three colors including Ink Black, Olive Green, and Light Yellow. Other than the heart rate monitoring, Realme’s first fitness band features 24-hour real-time heart rate measurement, resting heart rate, exercise heart rate, sleep detection, steps throughout the day, calories, distance, water reminder, and sedentary reminder. The highlight of the device is, perhaps, its nine sports mode including the Cricket, yoga, running, walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, spinning, fitness

The Realme Band goes on sale in India today during the hate to wait for a limited-time sale on realme.com today, March 5th from 2 to 4PM , priced at  Rs. 1,499 ($20). The band should go on sale in other regions in the coming months.
