Oneplus’ first flagship for the year 2020 – the Oneplus 8 series has been rumored for quite some time now. The Chinese firm hasn’t officially released any specific date nor timeline for the release, however, fresh reports from China suggest the Oneplus 8 series launch isn’t far off.
Techradar, citing sources close to the firm reports that the Oneplus 8 will go official in the second week of April. Last year’s Oneplus 7 series marked the first time the Chinese firm introduced two smartphones simultaneously, so the Oneplus 8, obviously won’t be alone this time. A one-plus 8 Pro, and perhaps, a premium edition is expected to tag along with the standard Oneplus 8. If the report is anything to take seriously, then the Oneplus 8 series will be the firm’s second device to be launched in the month of April following the original Oneplus 1 launch years ago. The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 6 both landed in May while the OnePlus 5 landed in June, so an April Oneplus 8 April launch could be considered early enough.
Speaking of an early launch, a previous report from tipster Ishan Agarwal has it that the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro could launch sometime around late March or April. Will the Chinese firm Oneplus succumb to this? Well, only time will tell, as we hope to start seeing some official teasers in the coming weeks. Until then, you can always refer to our earlier reports on the Oneplus 8, Oneplus 8 Pro and Oneplus 8 Lite.
