Transsion Holdings-owned Infinix Mobiles earlier today expanded its smartphone lineup with the launch of the Infinix Hot 9 into the Infinix Hot series of smartphones. While the brand is at the moment teasing a similarly named device for launch in India, the Infinix Hot 9 launched in Indonesia today looks somewhat different from the one been teased for India.
Unlike the one expected to arrive in India in the coming weeks, the Infinix Hot 9 so launched in Indonesia today highlights a punch-hole display, huge battery and AI-powered 16-megapixel triple rear cameras in a rectangular module.
The Infinix Hot 9 is carved out of a polycarbonate rear with a glossy finish and is fitted with triple camera setup. As expected, it has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, while the front is dominated by a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display. We are not sure what form of glass protection that comes with the Hot 9, the device has a punch-hole aligned to the left of the device, for a single front camera.
The Infinix Hot 9 sports a 16MP camera sensor with an f/1.8, coupled with a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel low-light camera, while an 8MP unit sits inside the punch hole. The phone comes with support for DTS audio and face unlock. The connectivity features that are available onboard are dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, microUSB and a 3.5mm audio jack.
