Having established itself as a force to reckon with in the India Smartphone segment, Oppo spin-off brand Realme is now all set to foray into the wearables segment. The firm has a launch event scheduled for March 5th in China. At the said event, the firm will be unveiling the Realme 6 series, and alongside that, it has now revealed it will launch its much-awaited Realme Band.
Realme has been actively pushing out teasers for the upcoming Realme fitness tracker and is now with a landing page on its official website confirming the design and some of its key details.
The product page explicitly confirms that the Realme band will come in Yellow, Black, and Olive Green color options, as well as a large color display with a circular touch-sensitive button at the bottom.
While the page doesn’t reveal anything else, previous leaks and teasers revealed the band is IP68 rated against the ingress of water and dust. It has been confirmed it will feature the usual heart rate sensor and a sleep tracker, while also offering 9 kinds of sports modes such as bike, run, walk, hiking, climbing, yoga, fitness, spinning, and cricket. The last one is a specially designed feature for cricket fans in India.
We are not sure how much the Realme band will cost in India. However, it is expected to be competitively priced so it could stand a chance in a market with the likes of the Mi Band 4 and Honor Band 5. Other than Realme’s official website, the Realme Band fitness tracker already has a landing page on Amazon.in, suggesting it will be offered for sale via the online platform. Speaking of its release date, and availability, Realme has confirmed that the Realme Band fitness tracker will go on sale on March 5th beginning from 2 pm to 4 pm (IST) via flash sale.
