For those conversant with the smartphone industry, the month of February every year is usually flooded with mobile phone launch, most of which happens right at the yearly MWC in Barcelona. Much like every other OEMs, Chinese smartphone maker Oppo will be revealing something worthwhile later this month just before the MWC kicks off. The Oppo Find X2 and the sequel to the Oppo Find X first introduced back in 2018 will be introduced later this year.
The Find X2 has been in the news headlines for a number of weeks now, and today, Oppo has revealed it will be launching the device in a couple of weeks. The Chinese firm today sent out media invites to the Oppo Find X2 lunch slated for February 22. The event holds in Barcelona at exactly 2:00 pm on Feb. 22 just before the MWC officially kicks off.
Aside from the Find X2, the brand will also be releasing a Pro version dubbed – Oppo Find X2 Pro. Detailed specs and renders of devices are yet to make it online, however, the brand already confirmed features such as a 2K 120Hz display and 65W charging. There are indications too that the Oppo Find X2 will get a 6.5-inch display with curved edges that won’t be quite as drastic as the waterfall displays we’ve seen from Vivo and Huawei.
Being a flagship-grade device, the Oppo Find X2 ost likely will ship with Qualcomm’s new processor – the Snapdragon 865 SoC, while other reports suggest it will come with Sony’s new 48MP IMX689 sensor with Omni-directional autofocus.
Other than the aforementioned, we still don’t know a lot about the Find X2 in terms of hard specs. However, more revealing teasers and leaks should be popping up in the coming days or weeks.
