Samsung mobile is expected to officially unwrap its second-generation Foldable smartphone – the Galaxy Z Flip alongside the GALAXY S20 series on February 11th. While the S20 series will get the latest in the mobile tech, the Galaxy Z Flip will reportedly offer some date tech, perhaps, as a cut cutting measure.
While recent leaks suggest the S20 will get 15W fast charging, and up to 45W fast charging for the Galaxy S20 ultra, it appears the Galaxy Z Flip might come with inferior fast charging tech according to data available on China’s 3C database.
The 3C listing for the Galaxy Z Flip with the model number SM-F700 reveals the Galaxy Z Flip will come bundled with an EP-TA200 charger and a 9.0VDC – 1.67A / 5.0VDC – 2.0A rating. It really seems weird seeing the Galaxy Z flip bundled with a 15W charging, but that is a bit understandable given that Z flip is tipped to come with some dated internals. That is, perhaps in a bit to keep the Z Flip pricing down south, given that is what is needed to lure more fans to jump on the foldable bandwagon.
Samsung already reportedly shipped over half a million units of the original Galaxy Fold which is priced at about $2,000. The Z Flip will reportedly retail for about half the price of the Galaxy Fold – $1000.
Specs details of the device are still largely under wraps. However, reports suggest the device will be powered by the dated Snapdragon 855 mobile platform. It will come with a Motorola Razr like design, fitted with a dual-camera setup on the back, and a 10MP selfie cam.
