Launched back in 2019, the MIUI 11 which is still been rolled out to a number of Xiaomi’s smartphones may be getting a successor soon according to the latest scoop from China. Dubbed the MIUi 12, the next generation Xiaomi’s custom UI will be based on the next major Android version – Android 11.

While it is more or less certain the MIUI 12 will bring to the table a number of new features, and improvements, we are not quite sure what major features the UI will get. However, there are speculations that MIU 12 might address some of the MIUI 11 shortcomings. Specifically, rumors have it that the new UI will come with an enhanced version of the system-wide dark mode, and that may have just been corroborated with 12 official logo does with a black background.
