Xiaomi first launched the MIUI 11 alongside the Redmi Note 8 series in India back in October and has since seeded the update to a number of its older smartphones in a phased manner. Today, the Chinese brand is rolling out the stable MIUI 11 software update to two more devices -the Redmi 6 and 6A.
The Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A and even the Redmi 6 Pro first landed in India back in September 2018, and are now reportedly getting the MIUI 11 global stable ROM update. The update which comes in the form of version number 188.8.131.52 can be downloaded here for the Redmi 6A, while the 6A with 184.108.40.206 version number can be downloaded here. They both weigh in at about 1.3GB.
Evidently, the MIUI 11 stable update for the Redmi 6, and 6A bring onboard all new features including the Mi Share, game speed booster, as well as a new minimalist and more modern design all over.
Launched in India back in 2018 with MIUI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo) update out of the box, both devices earlier this year received stable Android Pie update. The latest update, is, however, still based on Android 9 Pie, and not Android 10.
