Chinese phone maker Oppo has officially listed the Oppo Reno 3 on its official website, revealing a few things about the upcoming device. While we have known for a while now that the device will come in at least versions – Oppo Reno 3 with Mediatek’s first 5G SoC and the Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G that will have the Snapdragon 765G chipset coupled with the Snapdragon X52 modem for 5G connectivity.
The Snapdragon 765 powered Reno 3 with the Snapdragon X52 modem for 5G connectivity has now surfaced on Oppo’s site. From the listing, the Oppo Reno 3 5G will come in four main colors including the Moonlight Black, Misty White, Night Sky Blue, and a stunning gradient called Sunrise that has all the colors you see on the sky right before the sun pops up behind the horizon.
The listing further reveals that the oppo Reno 3 will be offered in 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage or 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. However, there is a third variant with 12GB RAM and 128GB storage which is already available for reservations on the JD.com retailer website.
In a related development, live images of the Reno 3 Pro 5G also surfaced on China’s Weibo earlier today. They reveal the device from every corner, and from what we see, the Reno 3 Pro gets a hole-punch display with a tiny cut out placed on the top left edge of the screen, while the panel reveals a quad camera setup.
Upfront, the device is likely to get an AMOLED panel with curved edges, and a fingerprint scanner embedded underneath. The USP of the of the Reno 3 series besides the 5G connectivity is the camera specs specifically the Ultra Steady Video function. The device is also tipped to get a 64-megapixel sensor, but the Reno 3 might not integrate a Sony sensor.
The Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro 5G are set to go official on December 26th at a press event where official specs and pricing will be revealed.
