If you are in the market for a low-cost Oneplus phone, the Oneplus 7T might be your only best bet. But it appears we might be getting more affordable, and cheaper variants in the coming year, as a newly leaked render suggests that Oneplus might be preparing an affordable Oneplus 8 lite for a possible release in the coming year.
The new leak is courtesy of 91mobiles and serial tipster OnLeaks who posted CAD renders of an unannounced Oneplus 8 lite that could be released alongside the Oneplus 8 series in the coming year. The CAD render reveals what looks like a dual-lens camera on the rear and a punch-hole cut out for the front-facing camera.
Details of the device cameras remain unknown, however, there are speculations it could come fitted with a 6.4 or 6.5-inch screen, making it a little smaller than the 6.55-inch OnePlus 7T and the 6.67-inch OnePlus 7T Pro that the company launched most recently.
The Oneplus 8 Lite is said to measure 8.6 mm (0.34 inches), and as you would notice, there’s a USB-C port with no trace of a headphone jack. We are not sure what the internal specs detail could be, but there are chances it will get a slower processor and less RAM.
Oneplus 8 Lite Fluid display
The device much like the Oneplus 7 will get a 90Hz display which it markets as a “Fluid Display.” With a refresh rate higher than the traditional 60Hz on most phones, the OnePlus 7 Pro has smoother scrolling and animations.
“From now on, all future OnePlus smartphones will come with the Fluid Display technology,” Pei announced on stage today. We should get more details about the rumored device in the coming months.
