It seems HMD Global is on the verge of updating its Nokia smartphones lineup as a new Nokia smartphone has just passed through the Bluetooth certification process. While we do not have the phone’s details, an unreleased HMD Global phone has been listed on the Bluetooth database under the model number TA-1213.
The listing doesn’t reveal any useful details, but it does appear to be an entry-level smartphone similar to the Nokia C1 Android Go Edition and newly launched Nokia 2.3. The device supports 4G LTE and Bluetooth v4.2, and as noted by NPU, the device might come with a Qualcomm processor belonging to Snapdragon 2xx series. And given that the SD 215 is the latest in the 2XX series, we assume the alleged Nokia 1.3 will ditch MediaTek SoC for the SD 215 chipset.
Other basic details are sparse at the moment, but we will get you updated on the subject as more details surface. Talking of the expected launch date, the alleged Nokia 1.3 could get a low-key debut, or, perhaps will be presented at one of the tech shows coming up in the early days of 2020.
HMD has yet to issue press invite to the CES or even the MWC coming after it, though we expect that to show up in the coming days.
