Fresh off from the launch of the Redmi 8A in India recently, Xiaomi India has now teased the imminent launch of a more advanced variant of the device in India. We mean the proper Redmi 8 proper and Redmi 7 successor.
Redmi India via a tweet has revealed that it will unwrap the Redmi 8 for the India market on October 9th. Specs, design, and features detail are still under the wraps. However, the device had earlier surfaced in a TENAA and China Telecom’s website with a few details.
The Redmi 8 per the listing gets a 6.21” 720p+ screen sealed in a plastic body with Red, Green, Blue, and Black jobs. Under the hood, it gets the same chipset as the Redmi 8A with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage.
For optics, the Redmi 8 gets a dual-camera setup comprises of a 12MP main and 2MP depth sensor, along with an 8MP selfie camera. The phone will have a large battery, 5,000mAh, charged over USB-C. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack.
