After the first official teaser of Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G which shows the device will feature a curved screen surfaced earlier today, Xiaomi has now released the first official render of the device ahead of its official launch.
The official render reveals the ‘Dream White color variant of the device, similar to the More than White color variant of the recently unveiled Mi A3.
Turning the device to the flip side, the render reveals a triple rear camera setup with the Mi brand as well as a 5G logo that confirms the device will is 5G compliant. There is no fingerprint sensor in sight, and that suggests we are in for the In-display option.
While we do not have full renders showcasing the front view, Xiaomi via its CC brand manager Cici Wei earlier today released a cryptic teaser that suggests the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G features a curved screen with a 2.5D glass on top. We do not have the entire front render, so we can not ascertain whether it will come with a punch-hole display, pop-up camera design or a water-drop design. All that and many more will be revealed in the coming days.
Away from the design, there are speculations that the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G will come with a Snapdragon 855+ chipset coupled with Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem for 5G connectivity. It is expected to feature a 4,000 mAh battery with support for the brand fastest wireless charging tech – the 30W Mi Charge Turbo.
