The stable and Final version of Google’s latest OS – Android 10 is already rolling out to all Pixel and Essential smartphones. And while that isn’t bit surprising, the Redmi K20 Pro from Xiaomi’s sub-brand is also getting the update right at the time it is rolling out to the Pixel phones.
While it initially was first reported for users of the Redmi K20 Pro in China, users from India almost immediately reported getting the update. The up which is about 2.5GB in size comes in the form of MIUI 10 but should be upgraded to MIUI 11 when it becomes available.
Interested users of the Redmi K20 Pro can avail themselves of this rare privilege by downloading the update from the links below:
This is actually a first for Xiaomi, and it is really impressive it comes first via its Redmi sub-brand. And for Xiaomi itself, we are not sure when the Android update will hit its devices, however, we expect the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro to get the Android 10 treatment soon since it is just a rebranded Redmi K20 Pro for the EU markets.
Bravo, Xiaomi. The company is rolling out stable Android 10 for the Redmi K20 Pro on day 1 of the new OS release. Although it’s only in China so far, that’s still really impressive.
