The follow up to the Redmi 7A from earlier this year – the Redmi 8A will be officially here in a few days time. There has been speculations, certifications, rumors, and now, the brand has revealed the Redmi 8A reveal date.

Breaking the news on twitter, Redmi India revealed that the Redmi 8A will launch in India on September 25. A separate unofficial report from earlier this month says the same device is tipped to arrive in China on October 1. Alongside India reveals date, the brand further revealed that the Redmi 8A will get a 5000mAh battery – up from the 4000 battery in the Redmi 7A.

Additionally, Xiaomi has set up anΒ event page on its official India site, hinting at a faster charging, aura wave grip design offering “great hand feels”, and cameras that will let you capture “pro like pictures”. In terms of design, the Redmi 8A will get a notched display, a dual rear cam, and a fingerprint scanner.

That is about all the official details the band has revealed. However, we do know via TENAAthat the Redmi 8A will get a 6.2″ HD+ display with a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor under the hood coupled with 2GB/16GB, 3GB32GB, or 4GB /64GB RAM/storage. It will boot Android Pie, while it gets a 12MP rear and 8MP selfie cameras.
