OPPO today launched its second-generation Reno series – the OPPO Reno 2 in China. The Reno 2 price in China starts at 2,999 yuan (8GB+128GB), and will officially go on sale from September 12.
While the Reno 2 was the highlight of today’s event, the Chinese firm did reveal one more thing at the end of the launch. It teased the launch of an all fresh OPPO Reno Ace series. Details, however, were not revealed but did hint that we would get to witness the official launch of the OPPO Ace Series later in October, though no definite date yet.
Prior to today’s reveal, the company VP, Shen Yiren earlier thus month on Weibo likewise teased the launch of an all-new OPPO Smartphone series that could come with a 90Hz refresh rate much like the OnePlus 7 Pro.
Not only will the device boasts of a 90Hz refresh rate that is fast becoming a standard, the device which we believe is the OPPO Reno Ace will also come with support for a new super-fast charging technology that will be a step up from the current 20W VOOC 3.0. Details of the charging tech is however unknown, however, the ever-active VP, Shen Yiren earlier had earlier also hinted that a new phone that will integrate the charging tech could come with a 4000mAh battery that can be fully charged in few minutes. The exact minutes to attain full charge, and, of course, the haven’t been revealed.
