Huawei recently unveiled the Mate 30 series – its first range of devices to ship with the flagship Kirin 990 SoC. The SoC is expected to power the firm’s upcoming devices including the Huawei P40, and even a number of Huawei devices. Just recently, President of sub-brand Honor confirmed that its next flagship device – the Honor V30 will be its first-ever smartphone to ship with the latest Kirin 990 SoC.
Just days after the V30 confirmation, more concrete proof of what the said device could look like have started creeping in.
A live image purported to be of Honor’s next flagship smartphone – the Honor V30 is currently making the rounds. The image which emanated from Weibo depicts the front of the device. As with most super-early leaks, we are not sure of the authenticity of the said image, however, the image looks more than just a fan-made render.
The leaked image reveals the Honor V30 will come packed with a display of unknown size, but with very thin bezels. What is more, the screen similar to the Honor V20 houses a punch hole on the same position as the V20. But unlike the V20, the upcoming Honor V30 gets a pill-shaped punch hole for two cameras similar to what you see in the Galaxy S10.
Based on this leaked image, and in keeping up with modern trends, we expect nothing short of a switch from an LCD screen to AMOLED Panel for an in-display fingerprint scanner. We can also expect the device to make a switch from a triple rear camera setup to a Quad setup.
With the rumor mill already churning out details about the upcoming device, you might be seeing some more official teasers about the device in the coming months.
