Here is the first official look at the Oneplus 7T series design

If you can’t beat the leaks, join ‘em. Google did it with the upcoming Pixel 4, so why not OnePlus? The Chinese phone maker officially confirmed the Oneplus 7T series existence yesterday, while also announcing their official launch date. Just hours after the launch reveal, Oneplus CEO Pete has officially revealed the look of the upcoming device in the form of image renders.

The CEO also extolled the Oneplus 7T design in a lengthy forum post saying that the team landed on something pretty special,” after going through over 50 design iterations. A circle’s rounded edges produce an appealing contrast against the straight lines of a smartphone’s rectangular form for a seamless, balanced feel,” he added.

The design from the released renders line up with what the leaks and rumor mill previously churned out –  an all interesting circular camera module on the rear side which is home to a triple-camera system. So Oneplus is officially joining the triple camera gang. The CEO further reveals that the Oneplus 7T has a smooth matte surface with brilliant metallic radiance, and what is more, the official render reveals that the upcoming device has a familiar Nebula Blue colorway as one of the options.

OnePlus has yet to release renders depicting the front view, perhaps it is saving that for another day. Speaking of specs, Oneplus in its launch teaser confirms that the OnePlus 7T series will keep the 90Hz display which was a core feature in the Oneplus 7 series.

Recent leaks also suggest the OnePlus 7T will feature a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, 8GB of RAM, at least 128GB of storage, a 3,800mAh battery, and OxygenOS based on Android 10.
