Oneplus recently announced flagship Oneplus 7 Pro is available in a number of global markets including the US, UK, Canada, and China. And while Oneplus did also announced a lesser specced and cheaper variant simply named the Oneplus 7, it did announce a limited rollout. Noticeably, the Chinese phone maker did remove the US from the list of markets to get the Oneplus 7, so at the moment, the device doesn’t sell in the States, at least not officially.
A mild upgrade to the Oneplus 7 and Oneplus 7 Pro has since been rumored and is in fact rumored to drop later in October. But then, US customers might not have the full range of options to pick from. Similar to the Oneplus 7 and 7 Pro, the Oneplus 7T and 7T Pro might have a limited rollout.
To be clear, tipster Max J in a recent tweet claims the OnePlus 7T Pro won’t be available to purchase in the US when it launches later in October. The reason for this decision hasn’t yet been revealed but it seems pretty logical since there are only a few specs upgrade planned for the upcoming device. The Oneplus 7 Pro apparently will continue to sell in the States, and might even get a price cut, while the OnePlus 7T duo, 5G variants will be available in other markets.
OnePlus 7T Pro and Oneplus 7T rumored Specs
Speaking of the Oneplus 7T Pro, and the standard 7T, recent leaks suggest both devices will drop the Snapdragon 855 SoC for the most recent Snapdragon 855+. They will both boot OxygenOS based on Android 10 out of the box, with different screens, varied battery capacities, and different memory configurations.
The Oneplus 7T as per the latest leak features a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080, while the Pro variant gets the same display size, but with a higher resolution (3100 x 1440) and 516 PPI. Both devices get an optical in-display fingerprint scanner, with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, Macro Mode, New Nightscape Mode, and 960 FPS Slow Motion video recording in 720p resolution. The Oneplus 7T and 7T Pro will be powered by a 3800mAh, and 4085mAh battery respectively both with WARP Charge 30T fast charging technology.
