The month of August is shaping out to be a very busy one in terms of smartphone launches. Samsung has an event tipped for August 7th for the launch of the Galaxy Note 10, then Realme in the bid to open up a new era for mobile photography has its Realme camera innovation event scheduled for August 8th.
Realme’s August 8th event is tipped to hold in Delhi, India where the firm will reveal, perhaps a prototype of its first 64MP camera smartphone. Well, the brand isn’t alone, Xiaomi’s backed Redmi has announced it will also be announcing its own 64MP phone.
Well-known tipster Ice Universe made the disclosure in a tweet hours ago. The Redmi announce will be coming later this month, though no definite date has been fixed, so we are not sure which event comes first. However, we expect to get a definite date from the Xiaomi backed brand in the coming days.
While we do not have many details about Redmi’s 64MP camera phone, official teasers from Realme suggest its own first 64MP camera phone will come with a Quad-camera setup – a 64MP main sensor, a telephoto, and ultra-wide-angle modules, and of course a depth sensor.
By the way, this month, Redmi will also release a 64MP camera phone, Samsung also restarted plans to launch 64MP A series phones in September-October.
