Realme 5

Oppo sub-brand Realme’s next major smartphone might be launching soon. The brand at its camera event last week confirmed it will announce a 64MP camera phone, while two other Quad-camera phones were also said to be in the making. Aside from the hint from the event, Realme India head also gave a clear hint that the Realme 5 series is in the offing.

Now, just days after the event, now, Flipkart India has published a landing page for the Realme 5 series that clearly has its launch date. Per the teaser, the device will become official on August 20th in India. The page has a teaser video that shows off the device Quad-camera set up in a vertical alignment. A fingerprint scanner also sits beside the cameras. However, that might be exclusive to the standard Realme 7, while we suspect the Realme 5 Pro might get the in-display option.

Similarly, the firm’s India head also confirmed that 48 MP Primary, Camera Sony IMX 586 Sensor, and a Sony IMX 119 Sensor For Wide Photos. With this, it is more or less confirmed that the Realme 5 will skip on 64MP camera, instead, the brand launch the first phone right before Diwali.

We do not have any specs detail at the moment, so we might have to hold until some official words.
