While the Galaxy Note 10 from Samsung is set to be the talk of the town in the next few hours, the Chinese smartphone maker has decided to allow the Note 10 excitement fizzle out a bit before it unveils its Nubia Z20 flagship smartphone. That way the device would not be lost in the shuffle.
We already that the upcoming Nubia Z20 will launch as a flagship-grade smartphone with earth-shattering camera capabilities as per official teasers. In fact, the company has only channeled its pre-release marketing efforts towards the camera abilities of the device as evidenced by a series of camera samples so far released by the firm.
All that changes now. Newly discovered render of the device reveals a glimpse of the device’s design. The render which comes courtesy of the co-founder and president of Nubia smartphone reveals the phone will come in a unique Living Coral inspired color, which is Pantone’s Color of the Year 2019.
Besides the color, the renders reveal the Nubia Z20 has a curved design on the front as well as the back, with a black strip that runs through the sides. On the display front, the bezels are virtually non-existent, with only a bit of it on the bottom.
Away from the teaser, the Nubia Z20 with the model number NX627J had earlier this month appeared on TENAA with its full specs and images. Notably, the listing reveals the device gets two OLED displays – one each on the front and back with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. The main one has a 6.42″ display, while the secondary display is 5.1″ diagonally. Interestingly, the Nubia Z20 will ditch the front-facing camera for three rear cameras with a 48MP unit being the main sensor and a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls.
The listing further reveals the Nubia Z20 will be powered by an octa-core processor with a clock speed of 2.95 GHz We are not sure what the SoC is, though there are speculations it could be the latest Snapdragon 855+ SoC. It will come in three RAM options – 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB – while storage will be 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
Nubia Z20 3C certified
Obviously, the device will boot Android 9 Pie out of the box, while it will come fitted with a 4000mAh battery. And as per its listing on China’s Compulsory Certificate (3C) database, the device will come packed with a NB-A930-USBA-1 charger that carries support for 30W fast charging.
