While the flagship Huawei Mate 30 might not be presented at IFA 2019, it is almost a given that the embattled Chinese brand will unveil a couple of hardware at the IFA 2019 which kicks off in a few days time. A report from China suggests the brand might be breathing more life into this year’s Huawei P30 much as it did to the Huawei P30 from the previous year.
Ahead of the release, Huawei has submitted two new colors of P30 to the European Patent Office for approval. The firm made the submission earlier in May, and the EU office had the same published/approved earlier this month.
Speaking of the new patent job, the patent filing suggests the Huawei P30 will be getting two new paint jobs – one with a dual-tone paint job, reminiscent of the “panda” version of the Pixel 2 XL, and a gradient version that appears to be based on the Breathing crystal version of the P30. Beyond the color, the P30 is unlikely to get any further improvements.
Back at the IFA 2018, Huawei announced the launch of two new gradient variants for the HUAWEI P20 Series: Morpho Aurora and Pearl White, expanding its range of gradient colors to four. Alongside that, the firm also brought in two additional leather options for the P20 – a brown and black options.
Huawei IFA 2019 event
Huawei earlier this week confirmed a press event for September 6 where it will release details about its Kirin 990 SoC that is expected to power the Mate 30 series. At the event, we expect also to see the firm introduce these new color offerings for the Huawei P30.
