A report from earlier this week revealed Huawei will officially release its HongMeng OS later this month at its August HDC event, while the first phone loaded with the OS will come later in Q4. The OS, perhaps will be of paramount interest toa number of fans, but that obviously won’t be the only interesting thing we will see on August 9.
The embattled Chinese firm has now officially confirmed that it will officially introduce the EMUI 10 – the new version of the user interface that is expected to ship out of the box with Huawei Mate 30 and Huawei Mate 30 Pro.
While details and its schedule of release to older Huawei phones remain a mystery, speculations are that the EMUI will come with major updates over the EMUI 9. The new UI from Huawei much like other major EMUI updates from Huawei will most likely be based on Google’s next major OS – the Android Q. The OS is at the moment at the Beta stage, with no definite release date for the final and stable version yet.
Huawei Mate 30
Having said that, it is most likely the EMUI will first make its debut on the upcoming Huawei Mate 30, and that too suggests that the upcoming device might debut with Android Q or whatever it might be called out of the box. The Mate 30 has a release date rumored for the fourth quarter.
